The video shows the trial of the killers of Ukrainian politician and financier Vadym Hetman and Ukrainian businessman Yevhen Shcherban. Earlier, on November 3, 1996, a prominent politician and businessman, Yevhen Shcherban, was shot dead at the Donetsk airport.
Eight people were charged in the case, all of whom were found guilty of participating in a gang. Three of them - Sergey Kulyov, Viktor Bolotskikh and Leonid Dobrobatko - were sentenced to life imprisonment. Konstantin Nikulin and Igor Pushnyakov were sentenced to 15 years in prison, Sergey Volodchenko and Nikolay Malakhov to 11 years, and Eduard Kosygin to 11.5 years.
The case also involved former Prime Minister Pavlo Lazarenko, who was recognized as the customer of the murders of Hetman and Shcherban, and the court verdict confirmed his involvement in these crimes.
