The film "Zazhur-gora" is dedicated to the consecration of the cross and the construction of the monument "The Bell of Memory" on the Mound of Sorrow (Zazhur-gora) in memory of the victims of the Holodomor of 1932–1933.

Witnesses from the villages of Mhar and Vilshanka, Poltava region, share their memories of the Holodomor: M. A. Gorovenko, G. V. Kopykina, O. T. Kucherenko, F. P. Ostapenko.

The following spoke at the consecration of the site of the future mound of national mourning and memory: Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukrainian SSR Leonid Kravchuk, Chairman of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation Borys Oliynyk, and writer Oleksa Kolomiyets. The cross was consecrated and a memorial service was held by the vicar of the Kyiv diocese, Ionathan.

Reference: The Mound of Sorrows is the first memorial in Ukraine to the victims of the Holodomor of 1932–1933, built in 1993 on Zazhur-gora near the Mharsky Monastery on the initiative of Oleksa Kolomiyets and the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation. The author of the project is architect Anatoliy Ignashchenko; the main element of the monument is a bell with a cross, surrounded by smaller bells from all regions of Ukraine.
