The program "The Alphabet of Hryhoriy Epik's Life" is dedicated to the Ukrainian writer Hryhoriy Epik.
The video contains fragments of a black-and-white chronicle from the 1930s: various plans of Kharkiv and Kyiv, streets, a tram, buildings, the newspaper "Soviet Worker", a crowd of people in the square, banners, soldiers, peasants, trains, an institute, students, a telephone switchboard, telephone operators, campaign posters, the grave of Petro Kalnyshevsky, cells where political prisoners served their sentences, Solovki, a panorama, political prisoners cutting down trees.

Reference: Hryhoriy Danylovych Epik is a Ukrainian writer, publicist, translator, representative of "Shooted Renaissance". Active participant in the cultural life of the Ukrainian SSR, editor, member of VAPLITE, author of novels and short stories. Arrested in 1934, shot in Sandarmos, posthumously rehabilitated in 1956.
