Reference: On June 27, 2017, a car explosion occurred in Kyiv, killing Colonel Maksym Shapoval of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. It was a terrorist act that also injured two civilians. The explosion occurred at around 8:15 am at the intersection of Solomyanska and Mekhanizatoriv streets.
Additionally, on the same day, a counterintelligence colonel of the SBU, Yuriy Voznyi, was killed in an explosion in the Kostiantynivsky district of Donetsk region. This was connected to a series of explosions in 2017, which also included the death of SBU Colonel Oleksandr Haraberyush in Mariupol.
