Info: Andriy Bobyr is a Ukrainian bandura singer, conductor, and teacher. People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR.
He studied at the Kyiv Music and Theater College and graduated from the Kyiv Conservatory. In 1946-1963, he was the artistic director of the Bandura Ensemble of the Ukrainian Radio, and since 1965 he has been the artistic director and chief conductor of the Orchestra of Folk Instruments of the Ukrainian Radio, in 1949-1979 he was a lecturer at the Kyiv Conservatory, and since 1992 he has been an employee of the State Museum of Theater, Music and Cinema of Ukraine.
He is the author of more than 500 arrangements of folk songs and dances, and plays for bandura.
