The second film of the "Remembrance of the UPA" dilogy, entitled "The Dug Grave", continues the film study of the fate of families involved in the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, the struggle against the Nazi and Soviet totalitarian regimes. The authors reflect on the liberation sacrifice of Ukrainians in the struggle for the independence of Ukraine.
In the film, the film crew interviews residents of cities and villages of the Volyn, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv and Rivne regions about their family histories and events that took place in the 1930s–1950s.
The program contains fragments of a black-and-white chronicle.
