Reference: The Crimean Nature Reserve is a scientific and research nature conservation institution of national importance, founded in 1923. It protects unique mountain-forest and wetland ecosystems, in particular oak, beech and pine forests, endemic and relict species of flora and fauna. After the occupation of Crimea by the russian federation in 2014, the reserve was illegally transferred to the jurisdiction of the Administration of the President of the russian federation.
