History of the Ukrainian Fleet: from Rus to Independence

The documentary film "The Birth of the Fleet" is dedicated to the history of shipping from the history of the Ancient World to the formation of the Ukrainian fleet of the era of Independence of Ukraine.

On the video: the history of the development of shipping from Ancient Egypt, Byzantium, Rus to the present day; analysis of ancient chronicles and modern research by scientists on the era of Cossack statehood; video from the first edition of Ukrainian naval officers of the era of Independence of Ukraine, various plans of the Ukrainian fleet.

Commented by Ukrainian historians Raisa Ivanchenko and Georgy Shapovalov.

The film was created in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the personnel of the Naval Forces of Ukraine.
