Reference: The attack near Zelenopillya was a massive rocket and artillery strike on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Border Guard Service on July 11, 2014, carried out from the territory of the Russian Federation. The incident marked the first documented direct use of regular Russian troops against Ukrainian forces and marked a new phase of hostilities in eastern Ukraine.
