1000 Years of the Baptism of Rus

The film "1000 Years of the Baptism of Rus. Where Rus Was Baptized" is dedicated to the celebration of the 1000th anniversary of the adoption of Christianity in Rus in Kyiv. The commentary is provided by Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine (Ukrainian Orthodox Church) Filaret (Mykhailo Denisenko).

The film is dubbed in russian languages.

Note: In 1989, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church existed as part of the Moscow Patriarchate and did not have autocephalous status. Metropolitan Filaret (Denysenko) headed the UOC and presided over the celebration of the 1000th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus in Kyiv. This was an important event, and it was also during this period that the Soviet Union's anti-religious policy weakened.
