Reference: Ukrainian participation in international peacekeeping missions in Kosovo is one of the examples of Ukraine's cooperation with NATO in the field of security. In 2003, the Ukrainian contingent operated as part of the joint Polish-Ukrainian battalion "UkrPolbat", involved in the KFOR operation. In the same year, demining, engineering and support units operated in Kosovo, including 356 servicemen of the mechanized battalion.
