Festival "Polish Summer with Folklore", part 1

Welcome speech by Lutsk city mayor Anton Kryvytsky, deputy chairman of the regional executive committee Serhiy Shevchuk and president of the CIOFF festival Janusz Kalinowski.

The festival will feature performances by folklore groups from Ukraine, Argentina, Zaire, Israel, the Philippines, Finland, Ireland, the Czech Republic, and Poland: ensemble "Veselka" (Vinnytsia city, Ukraine), group "El Mala" (Argentina), Palestinian ensemble "Jafra" (Galilee region, Israel), folk group "Geraldine" (Ireland), ensemble "Folklorico" (Philippines), ensemble "Isot" (Finland).

Reference: The International Festival "Polish Summer with Folklore" was founded in 1994 in the city of Lutsk under the auspices of CIOFF — the International Council of Organizations of Folklore and Traditional Arts Festivals, which operates under UNESCO. In 1996, Ukraine was admitted to CIOFF, and an office of the Ukrainian National Section of this organization was established in Lutsk.
