The program "A Tale of Restlessness" is dedicated to the biography and work of the Ukrainian director and actor Les Kurbas.
In the video: the village of Stary Skalat, Ternopil region, a prayer service at the grave of Les Kurbas's father - Stepan Kurbas; Ivchenko and Taniuk conduct a tour of the museum-estate; museum exposition, Valeriy Ivchenko recites poetry, talks about scenarios.
Hosts are People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR Valeriy Ivchenko and director, writer Les Taniuk.
The program uses materials from the literary heritage of Les Kurbas, memoirs of Mykola Bazhan, Ostap Vyshna, Yosyp Hirnyk and fragments from the documentary film "Les Kurbas".
Reference: Ukrainian director, theater reformer, founder of the Berezil Theater Les Kurbas was born in the village of Stary Skalat in the Ternopil Region, into a family of Galician actors Stepan and Wanda Kurbas. In February 1987, a memorial museum-estate dedicated to his life and the history of Ukrainian theater was opened in the same village. The exhibition is located in the house where the Kurbas family lived.
