Veterans of the war in Afghanistan: protest action

Reference: On September 20, 2011 in Kyiv, veterans of the war in Afghanistan and liquidators of the Chernobyl accident held a mass protest action near the Verkhovna Rada against the government bill on restrictions on social benefits. After an attempt to break into the parliament building, a brief violent clash took place between protesters and the Berkut special forces. The parliament postponed consideration of the bill for further coordination with civil society organizations.
