Reference: The Battle of Zhvanets (Zhvanets Siege of 1653) was a military campaign of the National Liberation War of the Ukrainian people of 1648–1657, during which the army of Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytsky, together with the troops of the Crimean Khanate, blocked the army of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in the Zhvanets area. Modern historical reconstructions of this event are regularly recreated in Kamianets-Podilskyi.
