Reference: Leopold Ritter von Sacher-Masoch is a Ukrainian-Austrian writer, author of historical and artistic works. In scientific and cultural discourse, he is considered a literary representative of the phenomenon later defined by the term "masochism". In a significant part of his creative output, he reproduced the social, everyday and ethnographic realities of Galicia, in particular the language, customs and folklore of Ukrainians.
