Memories of Vasyl Stus

2002, National Television Company of Ukraine. The programme ‘Vasyl Stus. Standing Tall’ is dedicated to the Ukrainian poet of the 1960s, dissident, and fighter for Ukraine's independence.

The video features: opening credits, recitation of Stus's poems, archival photographs of the poet, archival videos with Nikita Khrushchev, footage of Kyiv, and memories of Vasyl Stus by people who knew him well: poet Yevhen Sverstiuk, son Dmytro Stus, People's Deputy Vyacheslav Chornovil, doctor Semen Hluzman, politician Levko Lukyanenko, and philologist Viktor Ivanisenko.
