Reference: Mircea Lucescu is a Romanian football player and coach. He spent most of his playing career at Dynamo (Bucharest), playing as a striker. As head coach, he made Romanian clubs Dynamo and Rapid, Turkish Galatasaray and Besiktas, as well as Ukrainian Shakhtar and Dynamo champions.
From 2004 to 2016, he coached Shakhtar (Donetsk), with whom he won 8 Ukrainian championships, 6 Ukrainian Cups and the UEFA Cup in 2009. On July 23, 2020, Lucescu returned to Ukraine, signing a contract with Dynamo. He was the coach of Kyiv until November 2023.
