
Lillehammer: The Olympic Games

The Winter Olympics in Lillehammer took place from February 12 to 27, 1994. This was the first Olympics in which the Ukrainian team participated. Figure skater Oksana Bayul became Ukraine's first Olympic champion. And the first medalist was Valentyna Tserbe, a biathlete who won a bronze medal in the 7.5 kilometer race.
