Zaporizhzhya Television. The program "Hussar Patterns" from September 20, 2006 is dedicated to the customs and traditions of the local residents of the village of Gusarka, Kuybyshev district, Zaporizhzhia region.

In the video: women from the folklore ensemble "Gusarochka" sing folk songs (in russian); a conversation with old-timers of the village, who tell about the center of artistic weaving and carpet weaving in Gusarka; folk songs are heard, the history of the village is presented; women create hussar carpets.

Reference: The village of Gusarka, founded at the beginning of the 19th century by immigrants from the Smolensk region, has a special cultural identity that combines Ukrainian and Belarusian traditions. A unique feature of the village is the development of weaving, which in the 20th century gained wide recognition at the republican level and is now considered a potential UNESCO intangible cultural heritage. Husarka is home to a local history museum of Belarusian life and the International Potato Festival "Husarska Bulba". Since the beginning of the large-scale russian invasion of Ukraine, the village has been under temporary occupation.
