Reference: National University "Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic" is the oldest technical institution of higher education in the South-East of Ukraine, founded in 1900 as a mechanical engineering school in Oleksandrivsk (now Zaporizhzhia). In the 1930s, the educational institution became the Institute of Agricultural Mechanical Engineering, which is why it received the unofficial name "Mashynka". In 1994, it was reorganized into a technical university, and in 2001, it was granted national status. The university is known for its high level of engineering training, scientific schools, and contribution to the development of industry in the region.
