Reference: Novopetrivka is a village in Zaporizhia District, Zaporizhia Oblast, founded in 1869 as the Mennonite colony of Eichenfeld by settlers from the Khortytske colonies. The settlement suffered significant losses during the events of the Civil War of 1918–1920 and during the famines caused by the policies of the Soviet government. After the administrative-territorial reform of 2020, it became part of the Shyrokivska rural community of Zaporizhia District.
