Reference: Sviatohirsky Uspensky Zymnensky Stavropegial Monastery is one of the oldest monastic centers in Ukraine, traditionally associated with the Christianization of Volhynia at the end of the 10th century and the early history of the Volodymyr diocese. At different times, the monastery changed its denominational affiliation (Orthodox and Union), and was destroyed and rebuilt in the 17th–19th centuries, which significantly affected the original architectural appearance of the complex. In the modern period, the monastery functions as a women's monastery and is used by the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the moscow Patriarchate.
