Reference: Trostyanets is known as a historical Slobozhansk manor town with an ensemble of monuments of the 18th–19th centuries (in particular, the Round Yard and park complexes) and as an important railway junction with the Trostyanets-Smorodyne station. The food industry stands out in the city's modern economy, primarily the Trostyanets Chocolate Factory "Ukraine". During the full-scale war, the city became a symbol of resistance and recovery after the Russian occupation in February–March 2022, and on September 30, 2025, it received the honorary title "Hero City of Ukraine".
