Reference: Khomutets is a village in the Poltava region, located on the Khorol and Khomutets rivers, 14 km from Myrhorod. Founded in the 16th century, in the 17th-18th centuries it belonged to the Apostol family and was the center of the Second Myrhorod Hundred of the Myrhorod Regiment; the palace and park complex of the Muravyov-Apostols and monuments of cult architecture of the 18th-19th centuries have been preserved on the territory of the village, the village is included in the list historical settlements of Ukraine.
