The program "Here's the Story..." is about Hennadii Yershov, a Ukrainian-Polish sculptor, jeweler, and teacher.
He was born on July 12, 1967 in Chernihiv. He began his career in Ukraine, and is the author of the iconic monuments to the Victims of Chernobyl, the Lubetsky Congress of Princes, and Ivan Mazepa. His works are also known outside of Ukraine: the monument to Taras Shevchenko in Bucharest, the monument to the Holodomor Victims in Warsaw, Prince Volodymyr the Great in Gdansk, and his reliefs depicting the Passion of Christ became a decoration in the largest brick cathedral in the world, which is called the Crown of Gdansk.
