"It was Operation Vistula": memories of immigrants

January 1, 1997. Poltava Regional Television and Radio Company «Ltava». The documentary film "It was Operation Vistula" tells about the Lemkos resettled from the territory of Poland to Poltava Oblast and their memories of forced eviction.

The film tells: about the Vistula operation, its goal and the attempts of the Polish authorities to resolve the "Ukrainian issue" on the territory of Poland, about the forced eviction of Ukrainians from their native homes, the first immigrants from Poland to Poltava Oblast, and difficult years of adaptation and survival. The film also raises the topic of unfulfilled promises of the authorities.
