"Fates behind poplars...": history of a psychiatric hospital in Poltava

November 29, 2006. Poltava Regional Television and Radio Company "Ltava". The documentary film "Fates beyond poplars..." tells about the history of the creation and development of the Poltava Regional Psychiatric Hospital named after Oleksandr Maltsev.

The film uses archival photos of the hospital, tells about the medical staff, chief doctors and working with patients. Particular attention is paid to the period of the Second World War. Hospital employees remember how during the occupation, medical personnel hid with patients in the basement of the institution and share memories of the shootings that took place there.
