Cultural and artistic activities of the Zastavniv region

Chernivtsi State Television and Radio Company, 1998. The program "Kalyniv Islands" covers the cultural and artistic activities of schools and clubs of the Zastavniv (now Chernivtsi) district.

On video: Ethnographic Museum "Dzherelo" in Zastavniv Gymnasium No. 1; museum tour conducted by students Anna Palevych, Yulia Gromko and Maryna Nagaychuk; exhibits: wooden and clay dishes, lanterns, troughs, homespun towels, irons, bedsteads, shoes, interior of a peasant hut: bed, cradle, bench; icons; embroidered festive men's, women's and children's clothing; embroidery by a resident of the village of Tovtry, Hanasia Myakota; school students and employees perform a fragment of the song "Lilia"; video footage of the dance ensemble "Chervona Kalina" from the village of Chunkiv, which visited a festival in Turkey, in the city of Akhisar; fragment of a performance and rehearsal of the ensemble; meeting of the "Hospodarochka" club in the village of Verenchanka; its participants perform the song "Not that rose behind the garden"; excerpt from a performance by an amateur folk theater.
