The Living Legend of Olesk

Lviv, June 9, 1998. Creative association "Publicist". The program "The Living Legend of Olesk" is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the abolition of serfdom in Galicia.

The program mentions the imperial charter on the liberation of the peasants and historical evidence of this event. In Olesk, a memorial Cross is opened and consecrated, as well as a well as a sign of freedom. It tells the story of the creation of the Cross and the revival of the objects of spirituality. The participants of the program talk about the meaning of the memorial sign, historical memory and the principles of Christian morality.
