The video shows the trial in the Lviv Court of Appeal against the accused in the murder of Igor Bilozir, Dmytro Voronov and Yuriy Kalinin, on August 7, 2002.
Ihor Bilozir, a Ukrainian singer, composer and leader of the vocal and instrumental band Vatra, was born on March 24, 1955 in the city of Radekhiv.
In the seventh grade, while studying at school, he wrote his first song. And at the age of 14,
in the summer of 1969, he made his first professional recording of his songs in the studio of Lviv Radio in the program "Traveling Meridian".
After moving to Lviv in 2000, Ihor Bilozir studied at the Lviv Music and Pedagogical College and later graduated from the conducting department of the Lviv Conservatory.
On the night of May 8-9, 2000, Ihor Bilozir was severely beaten for performing Ukrainian songs in the Tsar's Coffee cafe. As a result of his injuries, he died in hospital on May 28, 2000. He was buried at Lychakiv Cemetery.
