The first soldiers of Independent Ukraine take the oath of loyalty

On December 23, 1991, with the declaration of Ukraine's independence, the personnel of the regiment, led by the regiment's commander, Colonel Vilen Martirosyan, took an oath of loyalty to the Ukrainian people, one of the first among the military formations of the former Soviet Union.
