Bohdan Stupka is a theater and film actor, Hero of Ukraine, nominee of numerous theater awards and orders. He was born in Kulykov, later the family moved to Lviv. He played in a hundred films and embodied more than fifty theatrical roles. He held the position of Minister of Culture of Ukraine and head of the Ivan Franko National Theater. He passed away on July 22, 2012 due to a long illness.
