Student protest: 2004

November 18, 2004. The material of the Sumy Regional State TV and Radio Company about the student protest has signs of being paid for and is evidence of the dependence of regional TV and radio companies on local authorities before the implementation of the Public Broadcasting reform.

In the video: students with "I'm on a hunger strike" armbands, lists of detainees, polling station #46, signed voting protocols, clashes between activists, relatives of detainees and Berkut officers, a car with detainees, a protest near the court, injured Berkut officers in the hospital.

Note: Students in Sumy protested against the detention of 10 people the night after the presidential election, October 31, 2004. On the night of November 1, the detained students demanded that the head of the 46th Precinct Commission announce the results of the vote. On November 13, six of them were sentenced to 10 days in jail for "opposing the police". Also on November 13, about a hundred residents of Sumy held a protest near the Kovpakivsky District Court, which ended in a clash with police. As a result, more than 10 people were injured.
