“Berehynia": a folklore festival

Volyn, 1993, the Second International Festival of Ukrainian Folklore “Berehynia”.

The video shows three days of the festival: ancient customs and rituals, performances by bands.

Reference: The Berehynya International Festival of Ukrainian Folklore brings together carriers of folklore traditions-singers, musicians, dancers, and masters of folk art-for the purpose of modern reproduction and scientific comprehension of the achievements of Ukrainian folk culture. The first festival was held in Lutsk in 1991.
