Reference: Borys Derevianko was a Ukrainian journalist, screenwriter and editor-in-chief of the Russian-language newspaper Vechirnia Odesa. He was shot dead on August 11, 1997, in Odesa, on Akademika Filatova Street, as he was walking from home to work. The murder was a contract killing.
