Reference: The Poltava Museum of Local Lore named after Vasyl Krychevsky was founded in 1891 and has about 300 thousand exhibits covering the history, archeology, nature and ethnography of the Poltava region. The museum is located in a building designed by architect Vasyl Krychevsky in the Ukrainian modern style. Known for its collection, which includes rare archaeological and ethnographic materials, the museum also makes a great contribution to scientific research into the history of the Poltava region.
