The TV film tells the story of the outstanding Kyiv architect of the 17th century Ivan Hryhorovych-Barsky — one of the brightest representatives of Ukrainian Baroque, who worked almost all his life in his hometown, Kyiv, giving it his love and talent. It tells about his architectural creations in the capital and about the master's works in Kozelka, Lemesha, Zolotonosh.
Reference: Ivan Hryhorovych-Barsky — a prominent Ukrainian architect of the late Baroque era, whose activities were closely connected with Kyiv. He built a number of iconic buildings in Podil, in particular the Pokrovsk Church (1766), the Naberezhno-Mykolaiv Church (1772–1775), the Samson Fountain (1748–1749). His style combined the traditions of Ukrainian Baroque with elements of Classicism, bringing the architecture of Kyiv closer to the European level.
