He entered the Ukrainian stage in August 1991, becoming a prize-winner at the Chervona Ruta All-Ukrainian Festival with his song based on Dmytro Pavlychko's poem “Arise, Ukraine!”. Anatoliy Serdyuk is the author of about 200 songs.
