The video "Mykhailo Hrushevsky - the first president of Ukraine" is dedicated to the Kyiv period of the activities of the Chairman of the Ukrainian Central Rada of the UNR, historian Mykhailo Hrushevsky.

In the video: fragments of a black-and-white chronicle, a historical reference about the events of 1917–1920, modern filming of the landscapes of Kyiv.

Reference: In 1917–1918, Mykhailo Hrushevsky headed the Central Rada - the representative body of the Ukrainian People's Republic, where he performed the functions of the chairman of the parliament, not the head of state. Despite this, a false myth about him as the "president of the UNR" was entrenched in Ukrainian journalism, in particular due to the widespread use of the word "president" as a synonym for "chairman" in the press of that time. The UNR Constitution did not provide for the position of president.
