Background: Shalyhyne is a village in Sumy region, the center of the community. It is located 20 km from the city of Hlukhiv and 10 km from the Hlukhiv-Kursk highway. Since the beginning of the full-scale conflict, the community has been under constant enemy shelling. As of April 2025, the evacuation of the population continues, with 222 people remaining in the community. No children live there. There is damage to civilian infrastructure after Russian shelling, and people have been injured.
