Reference: The Polish War Memorial in Lviv, also known as the "Cemetery of the Defenders of Lviv", was erected in the 1920s–1930s at the Lychakiv Cemetery according to the design of Rudolf Indrukh to honor Polish participants in the battles against the ZUNR (1918–1919) and the Bolsheviks (1920). Volunteers from France and the USA who fought in the ranks of the Polish army are also buried in the memorial. On June 24, 2005, a memorial to the soldiers of the Ukrainian Galician Army was opened next to it.
