Gerasim Kondratyev — founder of the city of Sumy

Sumy TV. The program "Sumshchyna v Imenakh" from September 2, 2005 is dedicated to the history of the creation of the city of Sumy and its founder Gerasim Kondratyev.

Colonel of the Sumy Regiment of the Sloboda Cossacks and founder of the Gerasim Kondratyev Museum — Sergey Kondratenko talks about the history of the Sloboda Cossacks, the museum of the history of the Sloboda Cossacks, the construction of the Smolensk fortress, and the patronage of the Kondratyev family.

Materials from the collections of the Sumy Regional Museum of Local Lore and the Museum of the Sumy Regiment of the Slobid Cossacks named after Gerasym Kondratiev were used.
