Reference: The Museum of Partisan Glory of Polissya was opened on November 4, 1962 in the village of Slovechne, Zhytomyr region, at the initiative of local authorities in honor of the Shchors association. Until 1971, it operated on a non-profit basis, and later became a department of the Zhytomyr Museum of Local Lore. The museum's collections contain materials about the partisan movement in Polissya.
