Secrets of Bald Mountain

2007, National Television Company of Ukraine. The program “Secrets of Lysa Hora” introduces the history of Lysa Hora in Kyiv.

The video features: opening credits, Lysa Hora, tunnels, inscriptions, the sanctuary of Perun, views of Kyiv, and archival footage. Comments: Georgiy Yasev, chairman of the Kyiv City Club “Search”; Vyacheslav Dzivalovsky, head of the youth center “Desantnik”; Nadiya Ivashchenko, participant in the defense of Kyiv.

Reference: Lysa Hora is a historic area in Kyiv that has the status of a landscape reserve. It is known as a place where pagan rituals were held and, according to legend, witches' sabbaths. In the 19th century, the fortifications of the Lysogorsk Fort were built here. Thanks to its mysterious history and picturesque landscapes, the mountain has become a popular place for walks and recreation.
