Reference: The Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit in the village of Potelich, Lviv region is the oldest preserved wooden church in Ukraine, built in 1502. It belongs to the Galician school of sacral architecture and is distinguished by a three-part three-frame composition with a unique 17th-century mural and an iconostasis made by masters Ivan Rutkovych and Kazimir Dominikovych. Over the centuries, the church has been restored several times, including in the 18th, 20th, and 1970s, which has preserved its authentic appearance. In 2013, the site was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List as part of the group of wooden churches of the Carpathian region.
