Reference: Slovaks of Ukraine are one of the indigenous national minorities of Transcarpathia, the majority of whose representatives historically live in the Uzhhorod, Perechyn, Mukachevo and Velykoberezny districts of the region. In Perechyn, the Slovak community was formed as a result of centuries-old migration processes and has preserved certain linguistic, cultural and ethnographic features, which are part of the multinational heritage of the Transcarpathian region.

Grape Harvest Festival in Transcarpathia

The plot from August 17, 2002 is dedicated to the "Festival of Romantic Souls" named after the Czech writer Ivan Olbracht.

Reference: Ivan Olbracht is a Czech writer, journalist and public figure, whose work is closely connected with Transcarpathia and the culture of its peoples. Reference: The Ugolsky Monastery in the village of Ugolsky in Transcarpathia is one of the oldest Orthodox monasteries in the region, founded in the pre-Mongol period. The first written mention dates back to 1558, when the ambassadors of the Moscow Tsar Ivan IV the Terrible, returning from Constantinople, described the monastery and three mineral springs nearby. After being closed during the Soviet era, the monastery was revived in 1990 as the Assumption Orthodox Convent.

Reference: The Carpathian Biosphere Reserve is a nature conservation institution of the international significance, covering large areas of primeval beech forests, mountain forests and high-altitude meadows of the Ukrainian Carpathians and included in the UNESCO network of biosphere reserves.
